Who we are:

Ours is an all-volunteer organization with a
hard-working and dedicated board of directors.
Here you will have the opportunity to learn a little
more about us and why we do what we do.
John J. Raymond, Esq. President

John J. Raymond is a shareholder and
Managing Partner of Butzel Long's Florida
offices and is  a member of the bar in both
Michigan and Florida. In addition to his
service to A.S.K.K., Mr. Raymond actively
contributes to the Palm Beach Symphony,
Delray String Quartet, the Bubel-Aiken
Foundation for Autistic Children and several
others.
 
Helen Wilkes, Vice President

In 1978, Ms. Wilkes found her place forever
in the history books as the first female mayor
of West Palm Beach. A former registered
nurse, she also was a city commissioner until
1992. In 1973 she purchased and renovated a
beautiful hotel on Flagler Drive and turned it
into the Helen Wilkes Hotel. Built in 1923,
the hotel was later razed in 2005. Mrs.
Wilkes is herself the proud guardian of a
companion dog and is one of the original
founders of A.S.K.K.

Linda T. Gore

In 1979 Ms. Gore Founded the  of
Jupiter-Tequesta Humane Society
(now Safe Harbor) and assisted in
establishing  one of the first
spay/neuter clinics in the state. She
serves on the Palm Beach County
Animal Care & Control Advisory
Board. She joined the board of ASKK
in 2007. She is the owner of Gore &
Associates (Realstate/Appraiser
Office).  Ms. Gore is married with two
children.
Michael C. Graham

A part-time resident of Palm Beach,
Mr. Graham is a retired art dealer. He
serves on the board of ASKK to honor
the "amazing women who founded it."
He calls himself a "passive supporter"
but he has a strong dedication to
several animal related causes including
the protection of endangered species,
the Humane Society of the United
States (HSUS), and the International
Fund for Animal Welfare(IFAW). Mr.
Graham, who has been surrounded by
animals his whole life, believes that all
animals are deserving of respect and
that they "play a very big important
part in the world."

Michelle A. Rivera

Michelle is an animal author and has been a
professional humane educator for ten years.
Her educational programs which she
provides to all Palm Beach District Schools
on behalf of ASKK, raises animal awareness
in young children making them more
empathetic towards others. She is the
founder and director of Animals101, Inc.
She lives in Jupiter with her "pack" of two
dogs, three cats and two goldfish.
